20th Annual “Putting Kids First” Awards Luncheon

KidsFirst’s 20th Annual Putting Kids First Awards Luncheon will bring together community and business leaders from across the region for an inspiring afternoon honoring Placer County’s leading advocates for children and families. This year’s program will feature the presentation of the Edward Bonner & Brooke Allison Lifetime Achievement Award to Mia Behrens, Placer County resident and child abuse survivor and Ruth Burgess, Roseville Rotarian, recognition of several community-nominated honorees and networking opportunities with individuals committed to the welfare of local children and families. This event kicks off a full month of events to commemorate April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. Luncheon proceeds will benefit KidsFirst programs and services to support local children and families in the areas of education and outreach including parenting classes, support groups and after-school enrichment, and family wellness such as therapy and healthcare enrollment assistance. These no-cost community programs provide lasting benefits to those most in need in Placer County.
