Eco-Gardening: Attracting Pollinators – UCCE Master Gardeners of El Dorado County

Class/Workshop, Education, Gardening, Nature, Seminar

An ecologically sustainable garden is both beautiful and reduces the need for pesticides. Plant selection directly affects beneficial insect populations that can provide benefits such as biodiversity and natural pest control. This concept of “habitat management” provides a refuge for the insects during winter, nectar and pollen resources, and increase populations of other predators important to our gardens.
