Curtis Chamber Ensemble: Bernstein

The Curtis Institute of Music features a special program saluting, as part of his centennial, Leonard Bernstein, certainly one of its most successful former students. The performance includes Bernsteinís Clarinet Sonata as played by David Shifrin (one of only two wind musicians to have won the Avery Fisher Prize), plus works by George Gershwin and Aaron Copland (another Curtis alumnus) ó all performed by the Curtis Chamber Ensemble, the schoolís global touring initiative, arguably containing the most talented student-musicians performing in the world today.
