Our Town


The beguilingly simple and elegiac story of Grover's Corners, a small New Hampshire town, in the early 20th century, partly mediated through the voice of a Stage Manager. Productions of Thornton Wilder's oft-performed 1938 pean to the rhythms and tone of New England speech are often judged by how much light they shed on what is quintessential in American character and social relations and how convincingly the actors inhabit roles that do not traffic in crisis.
